The next band of the Iris throw is one I worked in Red Heart Super Saver acrylic worsted in Med. Thyme. I pulled this skein from my stash because I think this shade of green is a good grounding color for violet, blue and variegated floral shades.
There are never any surprises for me with Red Heart Super Saver yarn. It's not the softest or the most arty yarn, but it works up with pretty stitch definition and has a nice hand to it. Laundering does soften the yarn, too.
I didn't encounter any splits or knots in the yarn; another reason I like this brand and the line because I almost never do. It never disengorges a big clump of yarn when I use the center pull strand. It's budget-friendly and made for working crocheters who can't afford the pricey stuff.
Half a skein was all I needed to crochet the nine rows for this section.
My next yarn is the periwinkle version of Bernat Baby Giggles, which of course barfed up a big ball from the first go at the center pull. I expect I'll run out of this color on row eight or nine and need to add in something from my stash just like the blue. Oh, well, onward!
