The few yarn lots I've been bidding on lately have been won by last minute snipers, who wait until the last ten seconds of an auction to outbid the winner. I thought I'd try changing my method, so rather than bidding on the newly listed lots, I placed a bid for one that was ending soon (rather than being a sniper, I placed my bid about ten minutes before the auction ended to give the other bidders a chance to outbid me.) To my surprise I won the lot.
This lot weighs 7 lbs., which depending on the fiber and weight of the skeins can contain anywhere from 7 to 20 skeins of yarn. From the pictures I think there may be 14 skeins in this lot, including one or two Caron Colorama O'Go skeins that go with the two I currently own.
When it arrives we'll see if changing my tactics worked in my favor, and if it was worth what I paid for the lot. Stay tuned to the blog to find out.
