So much is going on this month with me, thrifting and crochet I'll be double posting for a while again. For example, I had such a good time making my silly chicken purse last month that I decided to hunt around for more patterns like it so I could add some silliness whenever I want to my crochet ambitions. I thought I'd share links to what I found that appeals to me in case you're in need of some silliness, too:
This Pepperoni Pizza Purse pattern from Premier Yarns is adorable. I've never made a project with crochet applique pieces, either, so I could learn a new technique by making it.
Although this is a cat tote pattern from Yarnspirations and not a purse, I often use totes as purses. I also happen to have a lot of orange cotton yarn that I could use for it (and I think I have some white or cream cotton as well.)
Nothing reminds you to make lemonade out of life's lemons than a Lemon Slice Purse like this one, also from Yarnspirations. I could use up some of the yellow Red Heart Super Saver yarn I have in my stash, too.
Are these food and animal purses a little childish? Who cares? I've never been one to worry about impressing others with whatever purse I carry. It's more about having some fun and making something that brings a smile to my face -- which all of these patterns do.
