Competition for yarn lots -- especially large or those with lots of decent brand labels -- has been fierce at the online auction, but I found three this month that everyone else seemed to be ignoring that I might win for less than ten dollars.
This lot had no bids on it up to the day the auction closed, but the shipping is reasonable and despite the messiness I see lots of potential. I put in a $9.99 bid (my max is ten for this one.)
What could $7.99 buy me? This lot, also currently with no bidders, if I win it. Because it would work out to thirty cents per skein and there were some lovely greens I couldn't resist it.
Here's another $7.99 lot I bid on. There are some dollar store skeins in the back, but I'm intrigued by the skeins with sample on the labels; I've never seen those before now. Everything looks unused, and I also spot a few that could be worth more each than I'm bidding for the whole lot.
Will I win any or all of the three lots? Stay tuned to the blog to find out.
