Future me here. Yes, it's time to double up on posts again. In a future post I'll talk about why I invested in a mystery set of polyhedral dice, but today I'm going to show you the no-pattern pouch I crocheted for it. I used a about half a ball of some Berlini Memento ribbon yarn that I had in my stash.
This pouch is made in the round with single crochet stitches and a 6mm hook. You make a foundation chain of however many stitches you want for the width of the pouch (I used 14), single crochet around that, and then keep going until you're at the spot you want your drawstring. Do one row of single crochet + chain 2, and then do three more rows of single crochet on top of that.
Weave your yarn or ribbon through the chain two spaces with a yarn needle (I used a double length for strength), knot the ends, pull tight and you've got a drawstring pouch.
These are fast to make, and are great gifts for anyone who needs a place for dice or other small bits and bobs.
