Finding a decent yarn lot of 13 full size skeins for less than $10.00 is pretty impossible these days unless you thrift them. Let's see what I actually got in this one.
Thirteen skeins of clean, odorless yarn, eight of which are still in their sealed packing sleeves. Those sealed skeins are what prompted me to bid, btw.
Premier's Anti-Pilling Butterfly DK weight yarn has been discontinued, and currently retails for $6.99 per cake on eBay. This is $20.97 worth of yarn right here.
I thought it was a solid color ivory, and then when I picked it up I saw the pastel colors in the center of the rolls.
This is how the color palette works up in stripes. Really pretty. I love it.
The two pack of Loops & Threads Cozy Blanket in Fog is another discontinued yarn. I found it selling on eBay for $8.95 a skein. That's $17.90 for these two.
Finally we have a three pack of Premier Parfait in crème de menthe (someone needs to get their eyes checked; I was a bartender, and crème de menthe is green, not blue.) They are no longer selling the plain Parfait label so I'll assume this is discontinued as well. A comparable yarn would be Premier Parfait Chunky, and they charge $5.49 per skein for that, so this sleeve is worth $16.47.
I locked up the value of the other skeins, which are in basically new condition, and added that to the sleeved yarn totals. This lot is worth $103.31. I thrifted everything for $9.99, or seventy-seven cents per skein. This is one of the best lots I've thrifted this year, not just in value but in condition, and no one challenged me for it. I'm a little baffled, but very happy. :)
